This paining reminds me of Ma Joad, and the motherly tone she resonates throughout The Grapes of Wrath. Ma Joad finds her motherly position in the family and sticks to what she knows best. She is always full of hope and she loves to share that hope with anyone in need. She never wants anyone to get down on themselves or a situation. When I look at this painting I see a perfect mother, and when I think of Ma Joad I see the same thing.
